Equipment

  • Food Processor or Blender

Ingredients

Oatmeal Ingredients

  • 125 grams frozen red tart cherries (½ cup)
  • 50 grams oats, old fashioned (½ cup)
  • 120 mililiters plant milk (½ cup)
  • 1 tablespoons flax meal
  • 1 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • a few drops of rum flavoring*
  • 1 tablespoons dietary supplement of choice
  • extra sweetener of choice optional

Oatmeal Toppings

  • dollops of plant based yogurt
  • frozen tart cherries, or fresh cherries
  • coconut shreds optional

Instructions

  • Add all oatmeal ingredients to a food processor, or blender. Blend until everything is well combined.
  • Serve in a bowl and top with dollops of yogurt and some more frozen tart cherries (or fresh cherries), and optional some coconut shreds. Eat as is, or if you want your oats warm: heat them up in the microwave, or in a saucepan (just like regular oatmeal). Enjoy!

Notes

*You can leave the rum flavoring if wished. But would it really be the flavors of Black Forest without the rum flavor? ;)
