- Olive oil in coffee
🤔 What is Olive Oil Coffee?
Olive Oil Coffee is coffee infused with olive oil by either adding it directly to the coffee, or into the milk or milk foam.
Even though adding olive oil to coffee isn’t a new concept, Starbucks is recently making a buzz worldwide with its new line of Oleato lattes. They started out in Italy, but made their way to the US recently! Strabucks’ Oleato coffees are infused with Partanna extra virgin olive oil, which gives the drinks depth and a buttery flavor, according to Starbucks.
So far they have released Oleato Golden Foam™ Cold Brew, Oleato™ Golden Café Latte with Oatmilk, and Oleato™ Iced Shaken Espresso with Oatmilk and Toffeenut in the US. Oleato is inspired by the Latin word for “olive” and an Italian word that nods to the process of infusing olive oil with coffee.

Barista milk is designed to be used in coffee! Barista milk has more protein and is extra fatty and creamy. Additionally, it differs in emulsifiers, thickeners, and acidity regulators compared to regular milk.
